'Rustic Domain' has earthy brown and warm tones with gold and silver embellishments, these colours are rustic and are reminiscent of crumbling surface and old buildings. The earthy pallet dominates the canvas like a domain. It is our world, our canvas to interpret how we wish. When painting this I reflected on my own life and how I connect with my partner, my friends and family, and all the emotions and feelings that come with it. Our drive is limitless and our passions are limitless. The vertical streaks and interwoven colours reflect the unpredictability of life and represent different levels of connections with others.
